The Excellence LS-CU is equipped with the so-called MSR technology (magnetic current reflector). Background: Neighboring conductors influence each other and cause an uneven current distribution. One speaks of the so-called proximity effect, also called the “effect of proximity.” With the patented MSR® technology, there is a fine copper band between the conductors that shields them from each other and reduces the proximity effect. The uniform distribution of current is important for homogeneous music reproduction.

The classic construction of a twin line offers plenty of space for large line cross-sections and provides a good basis for good sound. The conductor material made of high-purity copper is the best electrical conductor according to silver under normal conditions. Especially compared to cheap CCA (Copper Coated Aluminum), copper has a much better conductive value and is also more mechanically resilient.

The strand is one of the proven ladder bodies. In the Excellence LS-CU, the strands consist of 651 x 0.07 mm (2.5 mm²), 1050 x 0.07 mm (4.0 mm²) and 1575 x 0.07 mm (6.0 mm²) wires “strangled” with each other. The advantage of this construction of mechanical flexibility, which increases with smaller diameters of the individual wires.
